Following on from previously filling in the background with a dark grey, I then proceeded to start working on the chickens. First I used a dark tone of yellow to fill in the beaks and the legs, I then worked on top of this with a brighter yellow and then an even lighter yellow to highlight the area. I painted the chickens tails of which are visible white. After this I then begun to work on the middle chicken, using a dark tone for the base layer and then mixing with white progressively to create different tones. I then proceeded to do the same with the headless chicken on the floor. Whatever tones I had mixed up I then filled in the base of the rest of the chickens, using different colours as I do not want each of the chickens to be the same colour. Now to wait for the painting to dry before I work some red in, finishing off the chickens heads/face as well as working in more texture on the unfinished chickens.
